Sustainable Funding Cymru delivers a range of training opportunities to provide voluntary and community organisations with the tools and resources required to achieve financial sustainability.
Our training courses have been designed to provide practical information to new or existing organisations on how to develop a sustainable funding approach to their work. A list of dates and locations is available in our training diary.
The programme consists of eight training days which introduce organisations to the various income sources available to the sector and the approaches and skills required to adopt, manage, and maintain these sources:
- An introduction to sustainable funding - providing an insight into how you can diversify your income base to achieve financial sustainability.
- Business and strategic planning - providing practical resources to help you plan more effectively.
- Preparing a sustainable fundraising strategy - how to adopt a structured approach to fundraising.
- Grants - fit for funding - learn how to prepare for and write concise and compelling funding applications.
- Earning - how to develop a sustainable income base through trading goods or services and contractual work.
- Loan finance and asset based development - how they can assist you to become financially sustainable.
- Giving and public fundraising - increase your understanding of fundraising and tax-effective giving.
- Finding the right funding mix – for funding advisors and development workers.
The training is intended for those responsible for planning and fundraising in frontline voluntary and community organisations. From employees and volunteers to trustees and directors of voluntary and community organisations who are working towards becoming more financially sustainable.
